2017 Community Development Block Grant Program Information Sessions – Presentation Slides

The City of Meridian is a designated entitlement community by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This designation allows the City to receive funds from HUD's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. The purpose of the Program is to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, and expand economic opportunities, especially for low-and -moderate income individuals and families.

What is the long-term plan for using CDBG funds to benefit our community?

The City of Meridian is currently working to develop the 2017-2021 Consolidated Plan. This plan sets the spending priorities for the City of Meridian's Community Development Block Grant funds for the next five years, and it is based on an analysis of current conditions and input from the citizens of Meridian. These documents can be accessed via the links below after the plan has been presented and approved by the Meridian City Council. If you have any questions about the Community Development Block Grant program, please contact Christopher Pope, the CDBG Administrator at
